Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
The reservation is home to Pima and Maricopa Indians, descendants of the ancient Hohokam Indians. The reservation was created in 1879 and occupies 54,000 acres.
Adjacent to Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, and Fountain Hills Arizona the reservation is accessible from all Phoenix Metro destinations.
The Pavilions, a 140 acre retail shopping center is located on the reservation and plans are underway for a signature golf course and casino.
The reservation has maintained its natural beauty and spaciousness although neighboring areas have expanded urbanization.
